Foreign Minister of Burundi to visit Finland

Laurent Kavakure, Foreign Minister of Burundi, will visit Finland on 19–20 May and will meet with Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja.

In addition to bilateral relations between Finland and Burundi, the foreign ministers will discuss, among other topics, regional issues of Eastern Africa as well as topical foreign policy issues. During his visit, the Foreign Minister of Burundi will become acquainted with Finland’s environmental, social and health care, and energy policies. He will also meet with representatives of Finnfund, the Finnish Fund for Industrial Cooperation, and Finnish business representatives.
