Foreign Minister Tuomioja to visit Lebanon

Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja will visit Lebanon on 8-9 September. Tuomioja will meet with Foreign Minister of Lebanon Adnan Mansour and Prime Minister Najib Mikati. The agenda also includes meeting Finnish Unifil troops and discussions with Unifil Force Commander Paolo Serra.

The purpose of the trip, in addition to learning about the Unifil operation and the status of Finnish peace keepers, is to discuss the current circumstances in the region with the Lebanese leaders.
