Minister Alexander Stubb will attend the Meeting of the Nordic Ministers for Co-operation, organised by the Norwegian Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2012 in Svalbard on 5-6 September.
The agenda includes a budget proposal for 2013 and a draft for the new Nordic sustainable development strategy, due to take effect in the beginning of 2013.
Main themes of the new strategy include the Nordic model of the welfare state, healthy ecosystems, changing climate, sustainable use of resources and research, education and innovations. Green economy and equality are cross cutting principles in the document.
